In 2022, 349 women were killed by violence in Turkey. When we look at 349, it can be seen as just a number, but everyone has a life and no individual deserves to be deprived of her right to life at the end of it, no matter what excuse. How would you feel if this violence was done to your sister, mother, daughter? There are actually many types of violence and we cannot tell whether a person has been subjected to violence or not. Therefore, it is very important to learn about the types of violence. There are 7 types of violence: physical, psychological, sexual, economic, digital, dating violence and stalking. A man can go out at any time of the night, but even if a woman does, he does not feel safe. A woman may want to look beautiful and stylish when going out, but can be misunderstood by a man. It is not right to judge a woman by looking at her clothes and appearance. This misperception created by clothes is a prejudice created not only in daily life but also in school life. It is not correct for girls to have to wear skirts or dresses, to wear tights, or to wear a strappy top, as school uniforms, except for gym classes. A girl, woman can wear whatever she wants, it’s nobody’s place to question or judge this. This also does not mean that she deserves violence, because violence has no merit. Recognize the prejudices of violence, violence is a choice. It is chosen consciously and willingly from many solution methods. It doesn’t happen all at once, it happens over time. Only if the perpetrator takes responsibility can they break the cycle of violence. If you are being subjected to violence or if you think that someone around you has been subjected to violence, do not hesitate to ask for and give help. #şiddetifarketsessizkalma #violenceisnottheway
